About me
My name is Julia, I was born in Germany in a little town called Aachen and moved to Australia when I was 19.
I now live in Sydney on the Northern Beaches with my husband and 3 children and became interested in being a Doula after the birth of my first baby in 2008. I realised after having him that I did have a lot more options then I thought I had and even though it was a good experience I wanted to be more in control for my next baby!
Having a baby is a big thing and it is so important to create a positive experience around the birth of your baby as that moment will stick with you forever and potentially forms you into the parent that you will become.
There are a lot of options out there which many women don’t realise they have and that is what I am here to help you guide your way through. Its about what you want, your fears and worries and dreams and I will help you and your birthing partner achieve that. I will create a space where you and your partner can come together and find the strength to get through it.
Depending on the needs of my clients I can be very hands on, offering endless massages, holding you up, suggesting positions etc or hands off too if that is what my couple needs. I am more than happy taking photos, it is a lovely memory to look back on.
I would describe myself as a quiet, patient, strong willed person. I am a fantastic listener and feel very passionate about pregnancy and birth. I love being around pregnant women and I will make sure you are comfortable, feel secure and are informed about all your options and choices regarding the birth.
I have learned so much from my own births and attending many births that I feel I can bring confidence and a positive mind set to you and your partner. I am not here to tell you what to do but I am here to give you simple information that will make your decision making a lot easier. I will support whatever you feel comfortable with and will always be on your side.
Please let me know if you have any questions or just ring for a chat.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Julia
